How to Have More Great Hair Days plus New Profile Picture Backdrop DIY

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Pantene. The opinions and text are all mine.

When was the last time you updated your profile pic? Was it a selfie from your last great hair day? Yes, I thought so! Having a profile picture that says "Hello world! I am here. I am confident. I am empowered and I am ready to take on anything" can change how you feel about yourself. Let it tell the world about your personality, your creativity! Most of all, don't hide behind the hair excuse! Today, I thought it would be fun to share a colorful, easy $20 photo backdrop DIY tutorial after I tell you my secret to having more great hair days!

You guys know how much I have struggled with over processed and damaged hair, especially after having Kai. So much of my confidence was tied to having a good hair day because I wasn't used to experiencing so much breakage and hair loss. I believe it all started with some impulsive choices for chemical perm and unfortunate blonde bleaching. Honestly, my hair has been through the ringer. On top of it all, I heat style every day, causing even more dehydration and hair damage. I truly believe a great hair day starts with healthy hair. That's why I was so excited to find out Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots just hit the shelves in the US in January. It is an easy, 60 second, at-home rescue treatment imported from Brazil (the land of beautiful hair, duh). Think of Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots as your secret weapon to get the soft, shiny, healthy hair for more great hair days between salon visits.

So, how does it work?

Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots come in single-dose tubes, unlike any mask or treatment I have ever tried. It has the most potent repair formula yet in the Pantene family. The Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shot contains Pro-Vitamin B5, strengthening lipids and natural glycerin. These ingredients work together to target and repair damaged hair, including areas needing more strength and shine. A unique feature is the strengthening lipids. Instead of just coating the hair, it actually absorbs into the strands for optimum repair. The Intense Rescue Shots deep condition the hair without weighing it down for easy styling and manageability.

How to use it:

Use Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots weekly in place of your normal conditioner. Apply to saturate hair, root to tip. Pay extra attention to your most damaged areas. For me it is my dry and brittle ends. Be generous with the application. The tubes are single use. Leave in for 30 seconds then rinse for 30 seconds.

The result:

After 1 use, I felt it was instantly nourishing. My hair felt soft and the tip of it, the most damaged part, felt as smooth as the rest. It reminded me of that fresh, salon treated, pampered hair feeling.

The joy of a great hair day inspired me to create a colorful, fun floral back drop, perfect to snap a pic of your new, healthy, beautiful do! Just follow the easy 3 steps.

Floral Photo Backdrop DIY

Time: 15 minutes Cost: $20

1. Choose the flowers:

The trick to a floral wall photo backdrop is variety and color. The basic idea is easy: hang flowers upside down with washi tape. The heavy lifting is done when selection your blooms. Choose a variety of colors and textures to give the flower wall backdrop a multi-dimensional look. Be playful by incorporating a variety of flower families. I chose Gerberas for their large colorful blooms, snapdragons for their full, textured body, Chrysanthemums for their pop of bright and more.

2. Separate the stems and trim to your liking.

Be sure to remove excess leafs and dry the stem for easy taping

3. Tape the flowers

Tape in alternating pattern, upside down with washi tape. If the flower is too heavy, use clear tape first, then cover with washi tape.

4. Snap that profile pic girl!

You know your hair looks fabulous. It needs to be documented ;)
